We have many options available for classes and techniques you would like to learn, whether it's traditional stained glass, fusing, using Unique Glass Colors or Glassline paint, combining stained glass and fused in one panel, mosaics or another project you would like to try.  Call for class dates and availability.

Beginning Or Intermediate Stained Glass Class

The introductory portion of this course is designed to teach you the basic techinques necessary to complete a stained glass project using the Tiffany-style copper foil method.  You will learn to accurately cut glass, grind your pieces to fit, foil, solder and frame your finished piece.  In the intermediate portion you will expand your skills and learn new techniques.  This is a great refresher course!

BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE FUSING
 Saturdays

10:00 - 3:00ish
Instructor:  Debbie Patana Fee: $50.00 plus glass.

 You will make 3 to 4 smaller projects or 1 larger project while covering compatability, annealing, firing schedules, trouble shooting, fusing multiple layers and slumping.  Free cutting lesson from 9:30 to 10:00 if needed.    Some materials included, others available at a discounted price.  Call to reserve you spot in class.

FANTASEA CLASS

We will be designing a small free form panel, learning how to incorporate shells, rocks, nuggets, geodes or any "found item".  Learn to structure your art with open spaces for strength and decorative soldering techniques for beauty.  If you have special glass or items you would like to add, bring those along.  If not, glass nuggets, small shells and many other items will be available for class.  Larger shells and glass will be available for sale.  Let's create!!


MOSAIC CLASS

Mosaics are an ancient and versatile art form that can transorm any surface (basically anything isn't flexible) into a beautiful work of art.  During this class you will learn surface preparation, explore different adhesives for different surfaces, fit your pieces to your pattern and transfer your pieces to your surface.  The second week we will finish with grout.  A variety of materials will be provided, or you may choose to bring your own glass, sea shells, buttons, marbles, broken china, etc.  No experience required!


KALEIDOSCOPE CLASS

Your choice of 2 great stained glass kaleidoscope designs using either a
free-turning crystal or marble. Learn to cut straight strips using the
Morton system, assemble the body accurately and finish with decorative
soldering. Glass, front surface mirror, marble or crystal included in the
cost of the class. Hand turned marbles are extra, or bring your own.  Fee $110.00.

WALL JEWELRY

LET'S DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!  Using the inspiration of pendant designs, You will learn to make a fabulous wall hanging.  Learn to look at glass differently and choose it for its unique markings and texture to imitate gems, fossils or polished stones.  You will also learn to incorporate rondels, geodes, sticks, nuggets, etc, into your hanging.  Work with the graceful curved perimeters and multi-level construction.  Finish off with decorative soldering.  Cost of glass and unique items additional, or bring your own.  This is the perfect project for that piece of glass you love but don't know what to do with.  I also have a wonderful collection of handblown rondels from Fernhill Glass for $30.00 to $50.00 each to add to your hanging.

Decorative Solder

Learn the decorator's secrets for enhancing almost any stained glass project.  In this class you will learn different techniques to add bumps, stripes and swirls, use a wet sponge or the tap method to add texture and interest to your project.  A soldering iron with a rheostat or temperature controller is a plus.
